Moving Forward

Tonight we had a Module 2 focus group, and although I am still working through my pathway of Module 1, I felt that the insight of where I was heading to next may help me in putting together the jigsaw pieces that I currently have spread out all over the table.  

I have an array of theories and frameworks I want to delve in to and discuss in relation to my AOL, and their relationship to my practices. I feel confident that I know my way forward now with writing these essays; I still have questions to ask and reading to do, but I have a clear pathway. 

Now I need to work out my musings in order to structure my Module 1 essay - this is where I still need to organise my thoughts. Where does my prior learning end and my current practice begin? How do I distinguish between these? Having established my dance School in 2007, I like to think of my current practice as a development of my prior learning. How do I separate this? All of the past situations and learning processes I have experienced through my time of teaching are what have shaped me in to the teacher I am now, and feed my current teaching practice within my school. Therefore I find I'm tying myself in knots trying to work out how to differentiate my AOL essays from my Module 1 essay. For now I continue to read and reflect, hoping that I will have that lightbulb moment.
